What inspired me!

A Little Something

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in ALL circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. (NIV)

This is the word God gave me at the beginning of this adventure and I have stood on it ever since! God doesn’t take you through something without preparing you for the work. God not only prepared me but he was careful to prepare the people around me.

The Lord gave me this word back in February 2013 and I was sharing it with everyone because I thought it was so clear. I understood God’s will for everyone was to rejoice, pray, and give thanks!

When they told me I had a tumor on my brain and I couldn’t leave the hospital I was calm. The lady that gave me the news was relieved that I didn’t flip out. I couldn’t flip out it just wasn’t in my spirit. I had already told God Yes and I meant it, wherever He led me I was ok even if it meant a 10-hour brain surgery that may result in death or some permanent disability. I was confident in God that what He had planned for me was for HIS GLORY. I was so confident, that every time someone came in to stick me with a needle I said, “for God’s Glory” and the needles didn’t hurt. As a matter of fact I experienced no pain throughout the WHOLE procedure and recovery!

God also gave me a desire of my heart, which was not to be overweight at age 45. I call that a bonus!!

I was instructed by God to share 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 with everyone that walked through my hospital room or that called me on the phone in concern for me and I did from the doctors to all my visitors. It was all for Gods glory! What makes me excited about my testimony, is knowing I’m in His will and being CHOSEN to do His will! He could have chosen anyone but he chose me and I am grateful!

Folks were wondering how I could be joyful before a 10 hour brain surgery that may result in death? I believe they were questioning my sanity so I wrote a little something before my surgery to counteract that silliness. I knew EXACTLY what was going on. (this is what I wrote hours before my surgery)

What do you know?

I know I am having a tumor removed from my head which is located at the bottom of my brain stem to the top of my spinal cord it is resting there causing me decreased ability and had I not come to check on it I could have possibly died.

I know God So loved the world and me that he sent his ONLY begotten Son (Jesus) and whosoever believes in Him shall have everlasting life.

I know Jesus died on the cross for my sins and I have salvation. Jesus walked the earth doing Gods will, saving souls and giving salvation to whomever wanted it!

I know the equation of a line is y=mx+b. I know how to drive
I know how to act in public
I know about photosynthesis

I know if you right click a computer mouse that’s where you find the copy/paste function
I know if you raise your kids with love and patience they just might turn out to be productive citizens

I know Egypt is in Africa
I know Christopher Columbus discovered America in 1492
I know Jesus for myself!

Of all the things to know Jesus is the Best. Therefore I have no fear

Ye though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil!
I will rejoice always, pray without ceasing and be thankful in ALL circumstances
Because God said so and I fear God I Love God I give God the glory
If its brain surgery he wants me to have then brain surgery it is!
I have no fear I have perfect peace. He has never left me nor forsaken me. Thank you Jesus! I am your servant and obedient to Your Will thank you Lord for choosing me to do your will. Not only do I love to do Your Will I love to do Your Will in confidence and with excellence, why because you are God!!
The same God who created heaven and earth
The same God who freed the Hebrews out of Egypt
The same God who went with Daniel in the lions den
The same God who parted the River Jordan
The same God who spoke to Moses on the mountain
The same God who is the alpha and omega

The same God who loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son and through his Son I know him!!! I know a lot of stuff but the Greatest of all is I know Jesus for myself!!
I say YES with confidence!
Thank you Jesus Thank you Lord!!

I happily go into this thing!

My recovery has been so remarkable that health professionals and my peers are calling me “Miracle child”, even people in my neighborhood of whom I had no real relationship with have noticed a miracle. Everybody can see Gods glory! Again I am excited about being chosen.

What I know now is God loves me so much that He sent his only Son Jesus to die for my sins (Ephesians 1:4-10 NIV) For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will – to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of
God’s grace that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding, he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put in effect when times reach their fulfillment – to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.
I have been adopted into a GREAT family the best family ever!!! And with that adoption I have power (Ephesians 1:19-21 NIV) and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. This is so exciting!

I love Gods word. I stand on everything the bible says and if ever there is a doubt about what God says just turn to Genesis 1:3 … God SAID “Let there be Light…” He said that millions of years ago! Look outside and what do you see? God’s word is has been in effect all the days of your life. He is faithful and His word does not die!

I stood on Isaiah 35:3 which says …Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way;…and the Lord showed up I no longer have a crippled hand or wear a brace on my leg because of my knee. God shows up!

Be encouraged that God is real, alive, still in the blessing and healing business, His Word is true. If He said it you can believe it JUST LOOK OUTSIDE!!!! A few verses I have tested and proven

Isaiah 35:3, Malachi 3:10, James 4:7, Matthew 5:6, Proverbs 3:5-6

Try them for yourself, you will be amazed!

Songs that helped me through, you can add to your play list:

Awesome, by Charles Jenkins
Great and Mighty, by Byron Cage

He Shows Out, by Anita Wilson

Church Medley, by Donnie McClurkin

My Testimony is not only about God healing me and having faith but it’s more about the relationship that I have now, and although my life is not perfect I have unspeakable joy and peace. I would like to share my journey with you and help you find that unspeakable joy and peace that God talks about in the Bible.

Oh my goodness Staci, I’m so glad I finally found you again. My dear friend, I thank God for the miracles in your life. God knows this world is a better place with you here to share your joy and your testimony.

My favorite bible verse is: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:5 You did that and He brought you through. If I really think about it, you’ve been doing that since we were kids.

Although it’s been years since we last spoke, please know that you remain near and dear to my heart. I’m so moved by your testimony, your spiritual strength, your faith, and your walk with Christ. I hope to reconnect with you, Khalid, and the family soon.
    Love you lots, Nikki
